We shipped off with a party on deck:

After the party was over, the dance floor was removed to reveal a pool!
Nassau was beautiful & there was lots of shopping to be had! The water was an incredible shade of turquiose blue.

Here is my son & I at the port in Nassau:

Every night we would return to our cabin to find towel animals:

Gotta love that Disney attention to detail - the kids loved it!
The food was incredible & never ending. The chefs are artists because they created floral arrangements made completely from food:

And it only took 15 minutes for this guy to carve a block of ice into a fish ice sculpture:

On our last night aboard the ship, I was surprised with a birthday celebration. Our waiters came clapping & singing to deliver this cake to me:

There was a Pirate Party on board one evening & it was a blast. I mean that literally because the finale of the party included fireworks. Disney is the only cruiseline allowed to shoot off fireworks at see.

Pirate limbo:

More party pics:

And of course Mickey saved the day when he zip-lined down to the stage to save us from the likes of Captain Hook!

Speaking of pirates, looks like they've invaded Castaway Cay. You will find the Flying Dutchman marrooned here on Castaway Cay & yes, it is the real prop used in the movie - what else would you expect from Disney!

My brother & son in front of the Flying Dutchman sign:

And what pirate experience would be complete without Captain Jack Sparrow?

There were characters everywhere with little or no waits which was great because that meant we wouldn't have to wait in those long lines to meet them at WDW.

On our last night at sea, there was a character farewell party:

Once we reached Orlando, we stayed at a relatives vacation house. We went shopping at Downtown Disney & ate dinner at T-rex's.

The following day was spent at Magic Kingdom. It was great because there were hardley any lines. Most rides had a 5-10 minute wait. The longest wait we had was for the newly revised Space Mountain. The wait time was posted as 40 minutes, but it was more like 20 minutes tops. As far as the upgrades made to Space Mountain, I have one word: AMAZING! You can no longer see any of the track around you. It was great! Our night ended with SpectroMagic Parade & a ferry ride back to our car as we watched Wishes.

On the next day we went to Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge to tour because that is our home resort for our Disney Vacation Club membership. We got to see lots of animals including a few baby giraffes.

We also played mini golf at Disney's Winterland Summerland course.

Thank you to all my Floridian friends for ordering up the perfect weather for our trip. It was in the high 70's - low 80's & sunny for our entire trip...not too cold & not to hot - just right! Unfortunately, our trip had to end, and I am now back to reality & the cold New England weather - yikes!
